Tribes 3: Rivals play test.

TRIBES 3: Rivals on Steam

I'll try it when it's released.

Planned Release Date: 2024

TRIBES 3: Rivals is a team-based first person shooter that elevates the genre with jetpacks, skiing, and class-based warfare.

Players ski, jetpack, battle, and race to capture the enemy team’s flag, all while ferociously defending their own. Players can choose from unique classes to customize their abilities, perks, and weapon loadouts, while moving across epic terrains from snow covered peaks to haunting deserts. Teamwork, tactics, high speed, and intense combat reign supreme in this rebirth of the world’s fastest shooter.

Key Features

Dynamic Movement: Jetpack flight and skiing allow unparalleled freedom and fluidity in movement across the battlefield.

Capture the Flag: The core of the game lies in its intense team based capture-the-flag mode, demanding individual skill along with strategic team play.

Stunning Environments: Navigate beautiful and complex maps from arid deserts to icy mountains, each designed to offer a different gameplay experience.

Loadout Customization: Tailor your character with a wide array of weapons, skins, perks, and abilities, offering endless ways to compete and strategize.

Class Based Gameplay: Light, medium, and heavy classes allow you to play your way. Light classes excel in speed, medium classes offer mobility and firepower, and heavy classes bring formidable armor and weapons to the fray.

Custom Matches, Modes, and UGC: Users will be able to create custom matches that offer different team sizes and weapon loadouts, custom modes that alter the game’s core physics such as gravity and player speed, and generate their own content such as customized maps and environments.

Community Focused Development: The game is crafted with input from the TRIBES community, ensuring an experience that honors the series' legacy while introducing fresh elements to keep gameplay exciting and engaging.

Yeah :( Jetting and skiing needs a lot of work.
It has some odd things going on in your video, but I could only handle a little bit of that FoV. It's sickening.

Weapon firing and stuff looks odd as well. There are a lot of things that I don't like already unfortunately. The character models are huge for example. I can't tell if one of the LDs was an LD at all. He was so bulky, but flying around the flag. MD? It's weird.

Reminds me of TV ugly-ass models.

Love the weapon models though. Although, again, too large, possibly due to the FoV.

I don't like the flag sounds and it's probably not customizable.

I didn't like the Team Rabbit style map and terrain.

You'd also gain speed just slamming into the water at a high angle.

I could go on.

Everything just feels wrong and not in a "I only want T1/T2C with new graphics" way either.

i didn't realize that they'd only started dev like 6 weeks ago

explains why it feels like someone copy pasted t:a into a newer version of ue

wish them the best

The short video's FOV is 110, it was 80 at the beginning of the 3 hour stream.
