It indicates it's a baby. Because murdering a clump of cells is a fan-favourite for the pro-baby-killing crowd and it's nice to put things into a different perspective for them once in a while.

Both Amy and Valerie have previously pointed out the gradient at play - it becomes less ok further into the pregnancy.

But they don't seem willing to acknowledge the argument they are implicitly making - that it is not the life that is important but rather the consciousness and whether it has the capacity for self reflection/awareness (it is alive the whole time, but not conscious much less conscious in a complex way until later in development).

The difference between the pro-lifers/choicers is just a difference of opinion about when that capacity emerges.
