[Motorcycles] Cafe Racer or Bobber? [[Brackets]]

Some guy is selling this locally:

What an odd question, most people are inclined to one or the other.

You mentioned a rigid frame earlier, don't do this with a cafe racer.

I prefer the CR as well, I think they're very classy looking and I've yet to seen one in my area, let alone anywhere outside of a show. It would be very unique to have one. The reason I bring about the indecisive question of whether I should do a bobber or a CR is only because I think both have very different visual appeals. Done right, both would make a great project.

The downside to a CR would be the unique body (seat & tank) being difficult to make, or expensive to buy. The seat would be uncomfortable, whereas a bobber would have a springer seat - mostly negating the rigid frame.

I wouldn't mind having something I could take a lengthy trip on, a CR would not be my first choice for this.

The good news is there is a huge following of Honda CB aftermarket/NOS parts 40 years after it was introduced. As long as my wallet permits, I should have a good time building whatever comes to mind.
